SSR Planning is part of a project team that is seeking to obtain planning permission for a new vehicular access from London Road, to replace the existing Irthlingborough Road accesses. Following the refusal of planning permission in August 2009, an appeal was lodged with the Planning Inspectorate and a Public Inquiry was held in May 2010. One of the main issues is the affect of the proposal on The Walks, an avenue of lime trees on the east side of London Road, where four trees are required to be removed.
A decision is expected by the end of June 2010....
SUCCESS!!
SSR is happy to report that the Inspector has allowed the appeal and granted planning permission. The key factor was the proven need for a new access and no other viable options to the appeal scheme.
