Good News for Grantham!
Acting on behalf of Galliford Try Strategic Land and Kier Property, SSR Planning has secured a favourable planning policy framework for the Sustainable Urban Extension to the north west of Grantham. This site’s identification as a strategic location in the Core Strategy has been confirmed as sound by the Inspector who held the Examination hearings earlier in the year.
SSR Planning is also pleased to be able to report that the Inspector concluded that the Strategic Infrastructure Tariff policy should be deleted as it was neither reasonable, justified or consistent with national policy.
Work will now begin on the preparation of the Grantham Area Action Plan and the Masterplan SPD which it is anticipated will have a significant input from the developers involved.
