SSR Planning is involved in all aspects of Strategic Planning representing a wide cross section of clients. The constant changing of the systems requires the need to maintain an active involvement and be at the forefront.
The process usually starts with an assessment of a site’s development potential before recommending the most appropriate course of action to a client. SSR Planning is involved in all aspects of policy formulation from input on Government guidance through the consultation process to the usual starting point, Regional Spatial Strategies (RSSs).
These documents require representations to provide a firm basis for the promotion of land at the most strategic level. Establishing a policy agenda for a town or site at the earliest opportunity is an essential part of the process. Appearance at Examinations to present the case for sites is a normal requirement.
We will follow up RSS involvement with input into Local Development Frameworks (LDFs) at every level including Examinations. It is important the we can navigate our way around the ever-changing system so that we can keep our clients up to date. Input can vary from the relatively short term to long-term land promotion over many years.
